It's so nice to be back "home" with all of our family! I not only get to hang out with them more, but I get to do their pictures! Here are some favorites from my brother's family... And here are some of my favorites from my sister-in-law's shoot... Isn't my family super duper good-looking? :)

I wanted to blog about this shoot for two reasons: 1) An ADORABLE family and 2) A new park/photo location that I LOVE. Meet the H Family! First of all, these are the people whose home we bought here in Columbia! When we looked at the house, there was a girl's room with Sydney letters on the wall (which is also our daughter's name) and a lot of other details that made it feel like it was supposed to be our new home. Meeting them briefly at the closing, I already knew how adorable they were, so I was so excited when Michelle contacted me to take their family photos this year! Look at Sydney's little hands in her pockets-ahhhh so cute! Not only were these girls cute, but they were amazing posers and loved the camera-a photographer's dream! I did not even ask Sydney to put her hand under her chin, she just did it. They are both such naturals! Hand on the hip, check! Pose, check! Be adorable, check! Such a beautiful family! How sweet are mom and dad??? LOVE (my favorite pic of the session)! How stunning is Michelle?? She looks like a cartoon Disney princess. Gorgeous. Thank you H family. Thank you for passing your beautiful home along to us. Thanks for letting me know about this awesome park. Thanks for booking me for a session so quickly after settling in here. I hope this is the first of many sessions with your beautiful family! XOXO,
Shauna I LOVE when a family has a vision for their photo shoots! Cassie said she wanted to do a country themed shoot since the family wanted to eventually move to the country. Carriage Hill immediately came to mind for the location, and she came with ideas and props in hand! After waiting out a 10 minute rain shower in our cars, the family was all smiles and ready to go! Now here are two genius ideas that I can take 0% credit for. I love how these pics turned out!! This is a military family, and I knew they were planning to move soon, but found out at the shoot that they were moving in a month! And not only were they moving, but Mike was about to be deployed to Korea for a year! I asked if the family could go with him, and Cassie told me that she could have if it had been for a year and one day, but with a one year assignment, they could not. I have so much respect for military families for about a billion reasons, but especially the moms and dads who are left at home to raise their families while their spouses are away risking their lives for our freedom. These are some truly amazing people! There is so much love between these two. I imagine there is going to be a lot of letters, emails, phone calls and skype-ing going on over the next year. I wish you guys all the best! I hope you get to move to the country and live "the good life" sooner than later :) XOXO,
